Chef Lamar Moore’s BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
1 bone-in pork butt, 8-10 lbs
Chef Lamar Moore’s BBQ Spice
1 1⁄2 cups apple juice, in spray bottle
BBQ sauce, your choice
Directions:
Step 1
Heavily season the pork butt on all sides with BBQ Spice rub.
Step 2
When ready to cook, start the grill. Set the temperature to 225°F and preheat, lid closed, 15 minutes.
Step 3
Place pork butt directly on the grill grate and cook for about six hours or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Step 4
After every hour, spray the pork with apple juice.
Step 5
Increase the temperature to 250°F, cook roughly three hours or until internal temperature is 200°F.
Step 6
Shred pork with two forks. Add BBQ sauce as needed, to your desire.
Step 7
Can be served with coleslaw, pickle slices and on a brioche bun.
